Legends in the Fall, the annual BMW meet hosted by Munich Legends since 2015, has been called the greatest BMW-based event in the world*. The name, taken from the Oscar nominated film Legends of the Fall, has no relation to the story line. In fact, there are no BMWs at all in the film, and definitely no cowboys at Munich Legends. Perhaps it wasn’t such a good name, with hindsight, but hey, its too late now.
Every year we display some of the finest BMWs known to man, from M1s and 507s, to championship winning CSL Batmobiles, rock star’s cars to unique Alpinas and modern Ms tuned to perfection. And it’s by no means all about the cars we display – the event is made what it is by the cars people bring, hundreds of BMWs of all descriptions, mostly M cars but also many classics, Alpinas and everything from daily drives to one off specials. So, there are many Legends, and every year (in the fall, or autumn) we hold the event. Always the first week of September, midweek.
In partnership with the pub next door – The Red Lion, located 20 metres from our showroom – Legends in the Fall attracts hundreds of BMW fans who come for the live music, excellent barbeque food and super-friendly atmosphere – and of course the chance to hang out and meet other like-minded BMW nuts. We also have to thank the National Cats Protection League, who kindly allow us to use their massive car park as an overflow, every year.
